Phillip is the male that was kept here at
CharmedWons from the Sirus x Phaith litter. Since this litter began whelping on July
4th but finished on July 5th, it was a given that this litter must be a
patriotic themed litter.
Philiip is named for John
Phillip Sousa's March
called "Star's and Stripes Forever".

Phillip WAS a show dog in his previous
life. He knew the minute I put a show lead on him what he needed
to do in stacking and gaiting. He finished his AKC Championship
title at 2.75 years of age. Local majors in dogs were very few and
far between. I also don't believe in finishing a dog from the
puppy classes proves quality since most pharaoh hounds don't mature
until they are at least 2-3 years of age. Phillip has begun
working on his Grand Championship title at local shows, being shown by
Kendall DeSanto or by me when Kendall is out of town showing his #1
Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, Ryder.
Phillip is a very sweet, moderate and
balanced Pharaoh hound. He is just 24 inches tall and is very
often the smallest male in the PH show ring (note the standard for a
male pharaoh hounds states they should be 23-25 inches at the withers.
Phillip moves parallel coming and going and has
a very easy ground covering side gait. He has very little white
except the small star on his chest. Phillip has a wonderful sweet
temperament and gets along with other male dogs
showing no male aggression.
Phillip had his health
testing done. He has OFA Good hips, no patellar luxation of the
knees, OFA normal thyroid, CERF Normal eyes and has full dentition.
Phillip has a very gentle and playful temperament.
Phillip is available at stud for
approved health-tested
females who are of championship quality. Health testing
includes at minimum: Hips, thyroid, eyes and patellas (knees).
Semen has been
collected and is available for future use.
